COVID-19 UPDATE
COVID-19 UPDATE
To our patients and friends,
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) along with the Placer County Health Department has announced that dental offices may resume restorative and preventative dental care. The CDC, CDPH, and OSHA have set new guidelines to optimize the safety of our patients and our staff during this time.
Safety has always been a priority and our team has always met or exceeded the requirements for infection control and will continue to do so as these requirements evolve. We have had additional training to meet these new guidelines and have established new protocol. We have also added several additional levels of protection beyond what is required including air filters, air cleaners, and exhaust fans. Going forward your appointments will look a little different.
Here are some of the steps we've taken with your safety in mind
- Patients and staff will be pre-screened before entering the office each day
- Anyone not feeling well will not enter the office and be asked to reschedule or, if a staff member, will be sent home immediately
- We have added HEPA air filters with UV-C air cleaners, and exhaust fans to direct airflow
- We have limited aerosol producing procedures and will be using High Volume Evacuation (which has been shown to reduce aerosol and spatter by up to 90%) and rubber dam isolation wherever appropriate to further minimize aerosols
- We are using EPA approved disinfectants for Covid-19 in the treatment areas
- We will be disinfecting common areas multiple times throughout the day
We want you to know that we care for your dental health, as well as the overall well-being of you, your family, and our community. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to schedule an appointment please call us! We are also available over the phone for teledentistry appointments if you don't want to come in.
As a family owned small business, we appreciate your continued trust and support. We can't wait to see your smiling faces again!
